so bought moorish idol tuesday was eating great at the store . brought home chucked in tank seemed good swimming around . not many fish in tank no more just yellow corris orange lemon peel snow flake pair and potters wrasse. he wouldnt eat and would stay out but jumped at every little move. so i grabbed him with net surprizingly easy since he never bolted for rock work and i chucked him in qt which is 29 gallon houseing 2 snow flakes and on mean sob labouti that got the boot . any way the sob moorish starts eat like pig straight away . i mean really the tank is smaller lol and he is more relaxed now . dont make sense to me
 
You live right by me. Where did ya get the idol from. Ive been looking for a place that sells decent ones. I kept one for almost two years and he died on me. Havent tried again since... it was a pretty big heart ache but i got a perfect tank for one and ready to try again.

i went to exotics tues they had two eating real good so bought one . just being a pain in rump lol i had one for two years also before it died a year ago got from same place just differnt name back then
 
Hey Joe , long shot but you have some pretty bright leds in your reef and your quarentine doesn't. I've heard of fish freaking out sometimes due to the high intensity of LEDs when they're not used to them .

hmm really how would i fix that make him some sun glasses maybe lol . it could be though makes more sense then anything ive thought of

I googled for stores named Exotics... i couldnt find anything is that the full name? Wheres it at?
 
A loooong time ago I upgraded my fowlr from T8's to PC's and ALL the fish flipped out. I'd suggest you dim your LEDs for a few days and let him acclimate to the bright light. Worth a try...
 
Yea think u guys right about lights. Gonna keep him in qt for few weeks make sure hes all hood yhen put him back with lights dimmed
 
well by no choice of my own i had to put back in reef do to haveing to put my emperer in the qt system after i caught him to sell and he started picking on moorish . but with lights down he is eating in reef now so looking good fingers crossed
 
I could stare at them swimming around all day... so hypnotizing. Good luck with him and post a photo (or video :))!
 
I will been busy with the tanks and fish juggleing trying make sure none die . Not to mention thevten gallons of water on rug and being electricuted twice by broken heater
