Soft shut doors

So I got a little bored tonight and went out to HD and was browsing the kitchen cabinets and came across these soft close bushings they were like $3.98 each and I have put one on the door and wow it was money well spent no more slaming doors! Nice easy/silent closing of the doors now to help prevent startaling any tank inhabitants View attachment 15785View attachment 15786

I have these on all my kitchen cabinets and drawers, don't know why I never considered it for my tank stand. Great, quick weekend project.

They really are a great little thing and for how cheep and easy they are to use I Will be putting then on everything now lol

Is that for a good to hold up

Hold the weight of my front lid, yes. Hold up over time, for about one year. The salt water corrodes the Pistons eventually and the lose gas/holding power.

That's a good idea as well, to bad I won't be putting a hood on my tank
