Common protopaly. Inherently harmless but will spread over time into a field of ugly. Do not cut off the rocks you'll get palytoxin released and it'll just grow back. Best to chip bits of rock off with the polyp intact and dispose of or move safely away from your main rockwork.
 
The rock it is attached to not too big and easy to get to. I'll just pull it and chip this off of it. Thanks for the id. I'm still a noob...for now...
