sponges

I have had an out brake of white sponge. I was wondering if anyone has ever had it take over or is it a good sing as I had no sponges to grow.
 
What's it look like? The small Pineapple white sponges? Or the "encrusting" type sponge?

I've had a ton of the little white pineapple sponges pop up everywhere in the tank but they haven't overrun my tank I just kinda spot them in new spots all the time.
 
No they are the encrusting type. I have pineapple sponges too. They are on to rocks and on the sand which seemed off to me. I will try and get a pic but it might be hard being white.
