stringy poop?

So on my lunch break I was messing with trying to get my IP camera to stream to my website but anyways I noticed something that seems to be stuck to the back of my black snowflake, is that stringy poop? It looks too long to me.

That is often a sign of internal parasites, but I have also seen it happen when eating mysis and stuff like that. If the fish doesn't have a sunk in stomach, it continues to eat, and it doesnt happen again I wouldn't worry. If it is a constant thing then you are going to want to treat with Prazi.

+1 to what Ted said, I have also found my wife's hair in my tank before caught on snails on the glass. Could have caught something on its fine like a hair or algae, who knows.

Yea I've never seen any of my fish poop let alone stringy poop. He's a nice plump dude. I have seen my Duncan loose a tentacle before. It was hard to see what it was on the webcam. Wish I was home to see it in person.

I'll keep a look out.

I do feed mysis along with A variety of other frozen (rods, cyclosees (however you spell it), etc)

You've never seen your fish poop? I see mine poop almost every day. They seem to like to do it next to the wp40s so it crop dusts all of their friends and the corals. Not much need for coral food in my tank.

My fish will poop out something similar to that now and then and I've had all of my fish for at least 1.5 years. Pretty sure it's not a parasite. The tangs eat chaeto if it gets to the DT. It looks stringy in their poop.

Yea I know, I thought it was weird. My fish like to go into 2 of the caves and poop or the current just pushes it there bc there are always 2 piles.

I usually watch my tank from across the room so maybe I'm not that close to see them poop? I dno lol.
