sump glass

I need to make a new sump and am having a hard time finding thicker glass from all the hardware stores. All only sell 3/32'' glass witch is .098 and is .02 thinner then 1/8''. Is this fine or too thin. If two thin were have people got it cut from around the joliet area.

Just go to an actual glass shop there all over

Also how wide should I have it cut for a 40 gal breeder somewhere between 17 1/4 and 17 3/8?

I used Moore Glass in Joliet too. I just checked mine and they're 17 3/8.

Measure inside to inside and have glass cut a 1/16th shy of it
