what tank temps ya'll running and feel comfortable with ? disconnected the chiller this morning due to a internal leak and looks like were holding at 79.9

Once the summer I fought my heat issue no ac at home for the cold months so far I have been a consistent 77.0 77.5

The one "dip" is from the water change....sump is in the "chilly" basement.

Try to keep mine between 77-78.

So i use to keep mine 78 . But found it easier to keep at 81 at 78 chiller was working overtime in summer even with ac on . I guess its what ever your tank decides as long as its between 78 and 81 imo . The less u depend on heaters and chillers to keep temp the less chance for equipment failure crashes if that makes sense corals and fish adjust to temps what both dont like specially corals is temp swings i keep my swing within a degree according to my chart which is ideal imo i was getting stn with 4 degree swings so id say 1-2 ideal 3 degree swings is border line and 4 degree u gonna have some issues depending on corals
