It has been a busy weekend. First the Shedd on Saturday then a Tank upgrade today.
A few months back I bought a 80 rimless with the intent of building a fish only tank, we have a 220 mixed reef and a seahorse tank. Although I really liked the format of the tank one fish in particular has grown too fast for the tank (our pinnatus batfish).
Here was the 80 after we set it up:
In just a few months the bat fish grew from about 1.5 inches to now about 8 inches high. We have now upgraded the fish only system to a 150 gallon tall. This should last the batfish until it goes to Discovery World as a full grown adult.
For those of you wondering about the 80, I have a deal with Mai to take it we all know he needs another frag tank.
