Are they all under 2" in lenght and grow slow? If so you have a chance. If not, hope you are fowlr and can deal with hight nutrients.

Sometimes its better for people to just do their own research than ask people that just can't wait to tell you how they really feel. Good luck.

IMO this hobby requires patience, people who don't have one, usually fail and end up disappointed and broke :) . Getting this off my chest , what you want to do is certainly possible if done correctly. First: make sure your tank is cycled and can handle addition of so many fish at once. You need to build up enough bacteria to handle this, otherwise you will end up with many dead fish due to ammonia and nitrite poisoning. Start feeding your empty tank with LR slowly every day, until you get to the point just like you would have all those fish. Once your tank can process all that food without any traces of ammonia and nitrites you're good to go. My NPS system can process 10 cubes of frozen and 200 ml. powdered food daily, so it is possible. Second: research and research more, and do a list of fish that can co exist in your 125 gal. tank long term, meaning mostly smaller fish and less aggressive. I wouldn't try to put 5 tangs and 5 angelfish for example. Third: with all the disease going around wholesalers and LFS, I strongly recommend QT, question is how are you going to be able to do so???? If not, you are asking for big trouble possibly, and losing all your fish. At the end, is this really worth the trouble? Isn't it easier just to go the proven way, take your time and stack your tank correctly ?

+1,000,000 on the QT. the quality of fish coming out of wholesalers has left a lot to be desired as of late. Healthy fish are few and far between and the few reputable retailers that do have quality fish are going to have a premium.

I'd say if you didn't want to wait buy another members tank breakdown when they get out. Then your getting their healthy fish and live rock.

The Tanked thing is all for TV. Those systems are maintained by local professional shops and as soon as the Tanked guys leave they are instructed to remove a large portion of the livestock and QT it for the customer while the tank cycles. I bet the tank doesn't sit the way you see it for more than a few hours.

Why would you want to do that ? half of the fun in this hobby is stocking ..adding more stuff as we go .. if you dump 30 fish and done in a day .. rest of the year becomes boring and makes you want to break down the tank ..

if your intention is to enjoy it for a week or so and get out then well what MMREEF said .. ( so that you wont kill fish :) )

I hate those shows it makes people be leave it's so easy to create a fragile ecosystem by filling a tank with saltwater and throw the fish in. And boom your done. It makes me sad to see this.

I think the idea is pretty stupid, but its your money. Just don't come on here and complain that fish are dieing, algae is everwhere and the tank is a mess. I don't want to be negative about it, but if I was a betting man, that is exactly where you are headed.
