Boo!!!

Power outage during rivalry football games and stress testing of my tank!

Good news is my ecotech battery backup ran the power heads for a couple of hours.

Bad news is I clearly need something for backup heat during the winter!

Good news, only down to 75.5deg before the power came back on...

menards had 3500 watt generator for 200 i think , may be part of 3 day sale . i have similar 3500 watt generator runs my tv , internet 210 tank 40br qt our fridge for cold beer and a couple lamps to tub it in on the neighbors :) best investment yet
 
I got a generac quoted but couldn't justify the $$$

Thinking a 3000w+ Honda will be my Xmas present~

Back in September we had those storms I lost power and access to my house for a day. Tank was down to 62 degrees. Everything in my sand bed died and 3 days later I had a horrible case of dino. Lost all of my corals and a few fish. But I finally believe I had beaten it. It has been 3 days since my last ditch effort and The tank seems clean. My first purchase for Tax time is a generator :}

Welcome aboard CR. Sorry to hear about your devastating loss but glad it didn't beat you :)
 
ComEd continues to piss me off...averaging 6 power losses a year :(

Memorial day power was out from 5pm to 4am...

Things are stressed, but generally ok...except "where's Candy?". The ridiculously priced$$$ fish I bought 3 years ago from DD (Bodinanus Opercularis), as a baby, goes missing...

Well, today the mystery was solved...he dove...into...the solar flare rock nem...who barfed him up today :(

Sorry to see about Candy. :( Have you been considering a portable generator? I know you have to be home to start it but I've seen some good prices for them recently.
 
Aww sorry to read that. I had the same issue woth ConEd and i buy 2 best back ups and only 1 small oytage since go figure
