The BORG cube 93 gallons of THE BORG

I wish I had some way to theme this... Now, I'm going to go to american science and surplus and find borg supplies. Geesh windy city, you bring out the best ideas!!! :mario:

I've been playing with aquatic/non-aquatic animals for most my life. Some breaks as life happens, I'm sure others know the fun...

But, diving into the SW life happened when I moved into my last house. My gf had this petco special 60g tank that was a FOWLR. It was a WI/IL relationship for a few years... then the tank came into my realm :sparta-lol:
Here's probably one of the earliest pictures of it setup in WI I have.

This was around spring of 2013 (after I got the compact fluorescents outta there)

I will put pictures the best I can as I went along on this fun/frustrating journey. :hypnotoad:

Shortly after that FTS, I started researching and found out about sumps! at this point, I was the newbiest of the noobs.

Random from that time (looks like I made some frag swaps!!)

This one was taken in november '13, I can tell it was after the first aquatic experience. I remember buying that frag tree from Dirk. haha

I added canopy to contain light spill, and I almost didn't mess it up!

This Cyphastrea never looked this good ever again. It was growing on my frag tree, encrusted down and I put it on a rock and it grew, it just never looked this good...

Feeder tentacles are some of my favorites.

July of 14 (these lights SUCK!)
SMaIpJE.jpg

This is why I say these lights suck. They were custom built to handle SPS and be controllable etc etc, what I recieved, lights that I can turn on/off.

Moving on, I'm onto some better lights here shorty :dancing-homer:

So, I had a friend tear down his tank. I had a pair of clown in my DT, so the fuge got remodeled... These clowns sleep on this acan every night, cuddling. It's cute.

I hit the picture limit.

Somewhere along these lines, I bought a used DSLR from Bubblewood (thanks again, still loving it!)
I'm no professional, nor do I consider myself more than a beginner. But, you don't get better not practicing...

I also took some pictures at the last aquatic experience: I'm not going to post them all over here, I hope it's ok to link to another forum...

Oh, I did mention a cube... So having a 12" depth to work with was AWESOME! it's was a challenge and I had a lot of rock falls... I guess it's mimicking natural environment. hahahahahahahaha
Bought lonely's 93 cube (thanks again!) and it have 2 xaquas installed and I left it as it on that part!
I needed to reconfigure the plumbing to go thru the same drain hole thru the wall to the sump closet.

A week before transferring to the cube, the clowns got a little funky

I was going to put them in the DT and move my others, but now their on their 4th clutch in the same spot. They aren't aggressive, they are in there by themselves and I think if their laying eggs, I'm not going to move them. That's just me...

Bye bye 60!
