What's up everyone

Wanted to let you guys know the order for the tank has officially been placed! Should be here by next Wednesday (fingers crossed).

Big shout out to my wife (just got married last year), she's been so supportive and even pushed me to start another tank. The reefer was actually my birthday present. She's definitely setting the bar high for birthdays.

Not to mention I've had boxes upon boxes coming in. Along with daily trips to HD. Since I've been waiting on the tank, I've decided to start a YouTube channel to document my new journey. Really wish I would've done it for my last tank, still miss it. This way I can go back and look at what I did wrong and what I did right and watch it evolve.

You guys can tag along too if you want. I know I'm new here, but born and raised in Chicago, I will always shout out my city and you guys. Any help you provide during this process will be appreciated always. A lot has changed since I last kept a tank.

Thank you guys for reading up to here.

Today they said it will ship out of their AZ warehouse via truck. They do say it will arrive within 3-5 business days. I'm guessing late next week, gotta get my aquascape finished by then.

Check out my build thread pm me with questions. Should give you some ideas

It will be fun to follow your progress. I am just in again, 6th tank, also with a Red Sea Reefer 250 being delivered in a couple of weeks. Recently we moved from Streamwood IL to Indianapolis area. There's a great group of reefers up your way that are very helpful!

I recently moved to Streamwood from the city!

You didn't, by chance, buy a house on Forest cove Court, did you? If you did, I can tell you where the holes in the floor are so you can plumb for a basement sump! ;)

How's the Sicce pump seem to be doing? Ive got the same one, and also went with the BRS reef saver rock. Please post pictures when you can.
Also, did it take long to put the stand together?

I dont know if its the pump I got or if they're actually this loud. The vibration is pretty bad. I first thought it was the fact that the soft green return hose was too long causing the pump to pushed down, when its actually what I think the suction cup feet. The pump is front heavy and the weight of the tube pushing down on the front end of the pump pushes it into the glass. I'm still working on a solution. I cut down the green tube so its almost flush going straight up and its better but still audible. I think im going to fill a ziplock with sand and set the pump on that. Im reaching for solutions here lol.

As for the stand, this thing is built like a tank! It did take me and my wife a good two hours, but I was too excited opening all the boxes that came in that it took longer than it should've.

That's too bad about the pump. I got it because it's supposed to be quiet. Maybe it will quiet down after it breaks in for awhile.
I love the rock work. Very minimalistic and clean looking.
Looking forward to seeing more. My tank won't be here until the end of next week.

I hope it quiets down too!

Thanks on the rockwork, wanted to keep it minimal and give plenty of space for coral to grow and fill it out.

Congrats on the tank again, setting it up is definitely one of the most exciting parts.
