Nope, I waved my turkey baster in front of it and blew some water at it and it didn't move.

Thanks for all of the ideas. My first thought was a sponge, but it also kind of looks like one of those tent caterpillar nests you see in trees and I was worried a swarm of pests was about to be released. I don't see anything moving in there so I'll wait and see what it looks like tomorrow.
