So i was reading this article on reefbuilders and thought it was an awesome one.. I thought it is is a great idea to focus on a single coral and see how it grows.. Im thnking of getting a finnex 4 gallon pico tank and puting a par 38 led or maybe one of the jbj led fixtures.. Heres a link to the tank im thnking of buying for this project.. its from ebay

Let me knw ur thoughts ok.. :)

I think it would be very cool, but very hard to actually do. Not because it would be hard to keep the one coral, that part is simple. The hard part would be the urge to resist adding things to the tank. My original plan for my EcoPico was just to keep a forest of Pom Pom Xenia with a clownfish. Obviously that changed!

Your right.lol i thnk it'll be extremely hard to fight the urge to add and add stuff.. but i thnk i can handle it.lol i hope.. once i get the tank i just gotta choose what type of coral or maybe a mini maxi anemone to keep? we'll see hope i can fight the urge.

Yeah, I can relate to that! I stare at my QT everyday and think about turning it into a frag tank!

I wouldn't do an anemone, or anything else that can move on its own. I think a really nice Euphellia would be the best bet. Color and movement.

They still move. Part of the allure of that reefbuilders tank is that the elegance is front and center under the spotlight.

your right about focusing on the coral front and center but i wouldnt mind watching a mini maxi moving around all day in a tank all by its lonesome and seeing as it grows larger and to the point that it splits.. it still would be the sole focus of the tank even though it moves
