It's surprising because I don't have any snails with that type of shell. Unless the change changes shape as they grow. I also dip all of my corals before I put them in my tank.
That's good news! I've had them in all my tanks. Their population seems to be self limiting to the available food... just like stomatella snails. They are actually a great addition to your snail grazing CUC. Only problem i've experienced with them in the last 10 years of them being my tanks is occasionally getting stuck in my pump impellers.
They really only come out after lights out and hide all day. You can have hundreds in your tank and will only see them after dark. Good hitchhiker imo.
