To overflow or not?

So currently I'm debating adding an overflow box to my 20g and maybe throw a 5g under the stand. I can stash my heater down there, get an in sump skimmer and possibly a small fuge.

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

I hate all the stuff being in the DT and would love to hide it all.

A good compromise is a hang on the back cps aquafuge 2. I have one on my nano and it has been working great so far! I keep chaeto and some red kelp along with a sand bed and some live rock rubble, along with my heater. But from everything I've read, drilling and sump are the way to go though.

If you can fit a 10gal as a sump.. Go for it!! A 5gal will be a waste of time IMO

if one ten won't fit, you can do 2 5s plumbed together. drill your DT and one of the 5s and we'll take it from there. If you drill your DT you can do a screen top to prevent jumpers (just make sure you do a drain and a return hole). I personally don't like anything going over the top edge.

I'm no stranger to drilling, just hate to empty the tank, but now would be the time!

Here was my old DIY drill and plumb
