Alight guys so it took me about 6 months to finally get to the point I am now of setting up my build

This will be my biggest build so far last build was 10 gallons lol.

Setup
75 Gallon Acrylic tank with center overflow, 48w18d20t w/ Black acrylic stand and canopy
x2 group buy LEDs with Mai 120w 2 red, 2 green, 2 violet, 21 white and 28 royal blue. No optics, might be changing out a couple LEDs at a later time.
25 gallon sump with refugium
ASM G 1 Protein Skimmer
filter sock
mag 7 return
about 80 pounds of Caribsea reef sand
80+ pounds of pukani dry rock
x2 wp25 turtles (still waiting for them on group buy)
Coralife marine salt mix (will probably switch salts at a later time possibly salinity brand)

I am taking everything slow and gathering a ton of information since I am still a noob with this hobby lol Many thanks to a large number of Chicago reef members

Currently I am filling up my tank with RODI water very slow process :( also cooking all dry rock in a vinegar and water mix, to get rid of all the phosphates.

I am very new to testing parameters in saltwater still need to buy some test kits.

From the information gathered I might be running a couple other things later on. A GFO reactor, dosing CA and ALK with with a dosing pump. but that at a later time, I will have a ton of free time while my tank is cycling :)

Planning on keeping mainly SPS and some LPS

If any of you have any recommendations/criticism would love to hear it.

Some pictures of the setup filling up.

The tank just finished filled up about 2 days ago, got all the plumbing finished before the tank was all filled, still need to make the drain into the sump more silent its pretty loud i have a pvc pipe below the water level in the sump. I also added some dry rock yesterday now just need to figure out how i want to rockscape the tank.

Added salt yesterday as well got it to 1.025 on first try before the dry rock went in

Some pictures i took of the tank today, still a little cloudy from moving around the sand with the rocks.

Very nice, did you get the pukani from BRS? If you did, it will leach out phosphate so be ready! It took mine about a good 6 months before registering 0 on the Hanna checker. But it looks great when you get coralline growing, and not to mentioned all kinds of holes for plugs, hiding spots for everything and anything.
Following along your build!

I purchased the rock from rosko on here. I bleached the rock and had it sitting in vinegar for a while. Shouldn't have any phosphates. I love the look of the rock and its very light.

David, very nice tank...Is it the GB leds?

Mai yes they are GB LEDs they look great on the tank.

Alright so I finished my rockscape. No rock is touching any walls so I don't have massive build ups. now the wait begins! I am planning on ordering some cleanup crews some chaeto and couple of mangroves, I will leave the refugium without sand. Also for the refugium I will hopefully be building a light with a single 10w red LED and either 10w White or Blue LED chip, still have to look into which is the best spectrum for growing chaeto and mangroves.

Pictures of the finished rockscape.
