TUNZE in BC29

Anyone running the tunze 9002 in their cube. Its a tight fit and I got the skimmer in with the media basket but my tank is full of bubbles. How do you know if this thing is working. I dont see any foam building up and into the cap. For some reason its very hard to keep the top and bottom of the skimmer together. If it moves a little it comes off. I really dont think I have this dialed in correctly. Any tips?

I just got mine in with a StevieT cup. Took me a bit to get it together right and dialed in but it works great! If youre having microbubble troubles, i would say either your pump is on the wrong way or it just too new and breaking in. The pump intake has to face the same side as your mount/magnet (and the two slits for water to enter) and point literally at that little dome inside the skimmer, i put it on backwards and it gave me a tank full of bubbles! Dialing in is tricky and i found closing the air screw all the way doesnt keep the bubbles at the water line so open it one or two turns. Also make sure the venturi inside where the pump is, is clean or it starts getting iffy with making good bubble (has to bath mine in vinegar). I bought mine used so i cant say if this applies to new bought 9002's. Try it and let me know how it goes! Wiz.
