Upside Down Jellyfish

Has anyone ever kept Upside Down Jellyfish before if so was it easy? Some people say that you can keep them in a reef tank has anyone ever seen them in a reef tank?
 
I would not recommend it. Jellies are so delicate, with the jagged edges in the reef tank and the high currents we keep. They would get obliterated. Even upside down jellies would eventually need to move around not sure it would be a wise decision.

Thats what i was thinking but I wanted to see if anyone has kept them before.
 
I have done a little research on keeping jelly fish. Most people seem to use cylindrical tanks and sponge filters. Everything in a jellyfish tank is smooth including the substrate. Really cool looking though.
 
It amazes me how delicate they are in captivity when they are constantly running into shores and whatnot and surviving.
 
They sell jellies at animal krackers in merrionet park 115th and when I saw them they where getting sucked into te overflow and the guy there kept pulling them off and they would also end up upside down and stuck on the sand bed they need like a round tank or somthing where the current is going in one direction so they can float around or somthing

Yeah bro, I saw those the other day, and felt so bad for those creatures. They looked beat up.
 
Yeah they did. But that place does seem to want to improve their saltwater dept.

I tried an upside down jellyfish from Global Aquatics once. Lasted about fifteen minutes before it vanished completely. Probably swept up into the overflow or powerheads. A poor use of $12.

More like a poor waste of life, the money is next to irrelevant.
The well being of live animals is all that matters...
