Has someone used the old sand in their new setup? I'm talking about a same day move and setup in a new tank. Just a quick rinse or very thorough? Was there a mini cycle afterwards or any ill effects? I know running carbon is a good idea but any other tricks? TIA.
Yeah me and u were taking about this yesterday. My sand is only a month old lol i may just stir it up and scoop out the sand leaving the dirty water behind
i have used old sand that was put in a bucket for 3 days and then i put in new tank. i washed the srap out of it when i put it in and the tank is perfectly fine, no problems!
