Vortech modes

I have a sps dominated tank. With some lps. Which can be tricky when it comes to providing both the correct amount of flow. I have been playing with my two mp10s. They are about 4-5" from the top of rank and in the front about 3" from the front glass. This seems to be the best placement for them. But I'm wondering what everyone else is doing. Where are ur mp at. What modes do u use.

Mine are close to the front a few inches from the top. And I just can't decide which mode I like the most. I was in reef crest but I want more swaying. Now I'm in tidal swell. It's pretty good. It's the purple light first two leds. Ntm is the next two leds with purple light. But that mode is so loud.

I personally change the modes weekly between Ntm, reef crest and lagoon. My corals seem to like the various modes, and I sometimes change the speed daily. The most consistent mode I probably use is the lagoon mode with the dial turned up to 60-70% power.

I usually stick with reef crest mode. I have the WXM for my apex so I can program different mode combos throughout the day at certain times, but I'm just too lazy because reef crest all the time works just fine.

I have my one mp10wes for now looking for another shortly. Mine is kept on Ntm at %100. i love the wave it provides as well as the changing flows. Night mode turns on at 10 and goes for 8 hours.

I turn it on constant speed mode at %100 for 10min once a week to get all crap lying in the rocks out.

I was reading that the night mode was unnatural and to not use it. I think its nice to give the coral a break. I think the coral likes the Radom flow too and I get a good wave with the Ntm too. It's just loud.

Where does everyone have their pumps. I tried moving my pump for close to the front glass to close to the back. And let the other close to the front next to the over flow. I'm just wondering if there is better placement of the mp10s. Instead of directly facing each other. I know ecotech says put them on the top half of the tank
