Walk to the dark side- New to saltwater

Hi I'm Jackie. I am a lover of animals, all types! I started with freshwater thinking it would be easier to handle since I had no experience. Unfortunately, it failed horribly and all my poor fish died. I had the worst advisors, stupid pet store chains. I become so disillusioned until my little bro coaxed me to try again but this time with saltwater. So after weeks of saying no I decided it was time. Of course I have the support and love of my brother who is also a member here. But I say the more the merrier! So excited to be part of this and I hope I can count on you guys even if its just a smiley face. It's great to feel part of an awesome group and to be acknowledged as a fellow aquarist.
Thanks guys!

Welcome to a life of disappointment...lol...Welcome to the team

Welcome, saltwater tanks take a lot of time and patience and a lot of up keep hope u have both

Coming from someone who has done freshwater as well, saltwater is much more enjoyable. It will require more time, maintenance, knowledge, and better equipment. But as they say, the juice is worth the squeeze. This forum is super helpful and the members are great. I've purchased 90% from members on here and have not had a bad experience. Welcome to the party!

Welcome...... These guys will help you like you won't even believe. Part of the enjoyment of this site for me is just seeing how good people still are to each other.

Thanks! I've been doing my research every chance I get. I already have some appointments to meet up with members to purchase rock and corals. So I really love this. But oh boy is this more expensive than freshwater. I'm out $500 and still have no fish or corals. LOL

I don't have a lot of "extra" time but I always make time when I want too. Patience is something I am learning day by day. Of course the health of my tank supersedes my rush to stock the tank with beautiful creatures. I would never jeopardize living creatures for my own selfish needs. Thanks!

Welcome! There's plenty of people here that will be able to answer any questions you have and help you stock up on all the goodies
