After another mini flood bc the water wasn't turn off to my RODI unit I decided to do something about it. I bought a threaded hose barb from the local Ace Hardware ($1.50). I drilled a hole slightly smaller than the threaded side into my Brute container and screwed it in. I used super glue to secure it; and then attached the hose which ends up going into my home sump.

Of course I could have purchased an auto shutoff kit from, BRS but I'm way too cheap for that.

I use float valve to think i paid like 20$ but still cheapeat piece of equipment that saved ma azz i flooded twice before falling asleep once and dorgetinh anither time lol plus float valve stops the water so im not wasting water down a drain and my r/o filters jmo

You should not put a shut valve in your RO/DI line without the other shutoff diaphram valve in the system (see BRS). If you do not have the diaphram, the RO unit will continue to flow waste water through the unit and out the waste drain. The diaphram is a pilot operated shut of that turns the whole system off when the float raises.
