What is this??

I found a few places that this fern like algae is growing. My tank is 4 weeks old today and noticed this fern algae starting to pop up. Does bryopsis show up this soon or is it some algae from the cycle?

Salinity 1.025
PH 8.2
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 20
Temp 78

Obviously, it is hard to tell from the photo but, yes, it could be. Personally, I'd get that rock out of there and cook it with bleach to wipe it out. i wouldn't want to take any chances with bryopsis. it is an evil weed.
 
Looks more like bryopsis to me, especially if you say it was fern like. I had it bad a while back and raised my mg level pretty high with kent tech m and kept it at like 1650ppm for a few days and it all died off
 
The bad part is the 3 rocks I bought from a LFS that advertises on here all had it all over it. I hope no one else buys the rock and puts it in there tank like I did.

+1. I had a wicked case of bryopsis, but with Tech M, it is all gone, and hasn't come back. Easy fix actually.

i have two hermits in my 2 gallon that eat it off new frag plugs, foxface rabbits too, maybe some tangs will take care of it and then there are some urchins i think that eat it as well.
