So I'm going to be putting an order at brs. I want to get some coral food and have never fed any corals yet. Anyone know which ones are a good way to start out with what they sell there?
Can you get reef pearls on BRS? I started using the 5-200um size and my corals respond crazier than they ever did with reef chili or azox. You should try the reef pearls if you are looking for coral food.
I've heard good things about reef chili and the pearls things. I feed Rod's Food, and my chalice and SPS and softies are doing amazing. Great growth, great coloring. Corals rely far more heavily on lighting than they do food supplementation.

So I got my shipment in yesterday. I first tried the reef chili. I also got the "reef chili feed bottle". I filled the bottle with tank water and the added two scoops of the food. Shook it "like a poloroid picture" and then squirted to each coral. To me it didnt look like much while shooting out but I did see some small particles. Should I continue that way and feed directly or should I just pour the bottle in the tank and they will get to it?
It is best to target feed if you have the time and patience Also a good idea to turn off your powerheads during a "broadcast" feeding so the little pieces can settle on the coral. When some people feed a particulate food like reef chili or Rod's they will let it go everywhere, turn off their ph's for an hour and let it all settle. More than 1 way to do it
