I'm one youtube video away from being a certified marine and brackish water biologist, but I'm almost 100% sure that these are juvenile sea monsters. I won't know for sure though until I get home and read a bible.

Yes they look very similar to those.. thanks herbie, now the million dollar question, what are they?

LOL, they're still AMPHIPODS

Bingo they look exactly ike that. Thanks herbie, and rako said they are good guys. So I shouldnt worry? And of the happen to show up in my tank should i worry about them eating my zoa or paly? They seem to b doing fine and getting big in my sump..

If they're eating something it needs to be eaten. :p

If you have the same critters that are in Herbie/Nate's videos, they're gammaridean amphipods. The typical ones seen in aquaria are harmless detritivores and/or herbivores. Take care,

Very cool Lynn but now I have to stop calling them Geigers. :D

Speaking of gammarideans I highly recommend a read about the gammarideans of lake Baikal. The whole dang lake is pretty cool.

Heheee, Geigers works better for me than scuds! When I think of scud, I think missile, not shrimp! As for Lake Baikal, I'll have to look into it, thanks. :)
