3Ok so my question is what am I looking for to decide my system is ready for it's first coral, probably a zoa? Is it a specific time table or a length of time with good stable water perameters? Just rookie looking for some guidance.

You should test for no ammonia or nitrite. Otherwise Zoas are almost impossible to kill IMO. Good flow and higher light; they should grow like weeds.

Same thing. After your tank is cycled it's pretty much a go. Just keep an eye out on those parameters and you should be good. Imo mushrooms and most other softies are even hardier than Zs and Ps. Just watch it on those leathers as they can become big and overtake and when it comes time to cut them out they release toxins.

After you read no ammonia or nitrite and you've done a waterchange to remove some nitrate your ready. Be careful not to add livestock too quickly. Your tank won't adapt to bioload quick enough. Causing unstable parameters.
