Who is GROWING SPS on a Kessil A150/160

Anyone? I purchased an A160WE yesterday for a frag tank, but I am having buyers remorse and not sure if this is enough for growing SPS.

Over a 40 breeder.. (Frag area is only 24")

Advise please.
 
I have a 40 breeder,,, 24" of the tank is frag racks... (Couple leather frags right now and a few monti caps...) I have 1 Kessil centered over the racks. A160WE. It covers the tank. Looks great, pops color etc. Just not sure if it's going to grow the SPS or brown them. I have a Radion XR30W G3 Pro upstairs... I wanted to be close in PAR value for acclimation purposes...

Looking for someone with a little experience to chime in.
 
The thing with Kessils is they look way dimmer to eye than they are ..

See what area a 160we covers and if the frags are in that Area then you should be fine.

And yes 360 is lot more powerful than 160 but it's good enough..

Also I have observed that par readings never come out right with Kessils.

So keeping the A160WE for my frag tank is ok you think?
 
U should b fine, ppl use par 38's and they grow sps, as long as they ain't to deep. I would keep the sps in the middle of the tank since that's were the focus of the kessil will be. Also doing par numbers on leds is hard. Some say it could b 10-20% off . I think Par meters can't read blue LEDs to well.
 
Cool. I'm rocking full intensity on my breeder frag tank. Can't wait to put some frags in and see how they do! I posted a YouTube video. I'll get it linked!
 
I also use a A360WE and I have to keep it at 70% intensity because I bleached the cr@p out of few acros because of the power these lights have. I have sps growing on all heights of my tank. Not sure about the 160 tuna though. Others seem to have great reviews on it though. Seen Few R2R reviews on these. I'm a bit lazy to look for them right now but if work gets slow tomorrow I will post it on here.
