Will this sump work?

Let me start out by saying I am new to this. I am trying to build a sump in a very tight space and was wondering if the sump below would work. The dimensions are 14x15x15 tall. Each square represents a half of an inch. The display tank is about 45 gallons. Please let me know what you think and any changes you would make.

Thank you

Looks good, to me it should work. But personally, i would make the skimmer and sock section one for more workable space and cut out that section with the red stars to increase the refugium size. My old sumps were very simple (3 chambers- skimmer, fuge, return) and that allowed flexibility and ease of maintenance. Again, it is personal preference and if you really like your design, then stick with it!

it looks good not familiar with the depth your skimmer is designed for. The main thing is you want to be able to turn off the power and not have a flood. if it meets that criteria you are on the right path. I would probably make the return pump section bigger and skip the refugium just because its such a small setup and space doubtful it will allow enough room... but thats totally person preference.

I think he is looking to use the area with red stars as a K1 chamber
