Will's 90

Hey all!

Well the tank has been up for almost a week now here in Chicago.

It's a 90 gallon set up that I got such a good deal on I had to go pick it up from Nashville with all the live stock.

Here's the equipment list:

90 gallon planet Aquariums tank with stand and roll top canopy (the canopy is getting switched out as it doesn't work well with the low part of my ceiling) the stand also has pond liner in it to catch leaks before they hit the floor
Trigger systems crystal 36 sump
Jaebo dc pump
Avast cone skimmer with swabbie automatic neck cleaner
Avast skimmate collection container with pressure switch
Avast gfo/carbon reactor
Avast ato with perlastatic pump
Avast dosing pump
2 radion xr30 pro gen 2 lights
2 mp40ws quite drive
Neptune systems apex
Neptune systems wxm module
Neptune systems advance leak detection with 2 probes
Neptune systems break out box
75gpd rodi from bulk reef supply with booster pump.
Eco tech reef link

Livestock it came with:
2 perc clowns
1 hippo tang
1 purple tang
1 dart fish
1 goby of some sort, he's been hiding mostly so i don't really ever see him
Bunch of coral including monti's, birdsnest, acros, lps stuff and some zoas

Overall I'm pretty happy with it, I'll be changing some parts though. I'm big into automation and control. I like having everything centralized. The return pump I'll be eventually switching out the jaebo for the eco tech vectra. The canopy will be going for a 4 door canopy which will work better in my current living space. I'll also want to add a calcium reactor. Any suggestions on one I'd be happy to hear!

I'm trying to get some photos up but tapa talk adds them as links and the forum isn't allowing me to post links :( I'll try again later

Thought it would be time to give an update.

Everything has been running smoothly so far! I picked up a rbta from old town aquarium that's doing very well once he settled down into his spot.

I finally got the radions talking to the apex. That was a ordeal in itself as I had to change firmware in both the radions and the wxm module. Which should have been easy but some software hiccups along the way made for some fun phone calls to tech support to both companies. They logged on to my computer and like magic everything worked!

I have arriving tomorrow some more apex equipment, the dos, ddr, feeder, and an extra leak sensor to go in the stand. I'll try to get some pictures tonight!

Did you end up using the reeflink at all? It sounds like you're running through WXM, but I'm not sure of you're able to use both or not. I have 2 MP40's, 3 MP10's, and a Vectra M1 I'm planning to use on my 80 gallon upgrade. I have an Apex Gold with WXM and am undecided on whether to use the WXM or reeflink.

I ended up not using the reef link. I like having all my control in one place.

I was going to go with the vectra but then found out it's not compatible with the wxm and ecotech appears to not be on a jump to enable that anytime soon. I'll be waiting to buy either the cor when it comes out or see if ecotech gets their act together with the vectra.

I would have never even attempted a relocation like you did.... Way to make it happen and welcome to CR.

When the setup costed pennies on the dollar I couldn't say no. It wasn't a bad trip. The girlfriend and I made it a mini vacation. The only snafu we hit was in Kentucky where a one lane highway came to a complete stop for about 2 hours after a car rolled over.

If I told my wife I was taking her on a mini vacation to go pick up a tank she would probably punch me in the nuts.
