Is it round or is the shape flexible? Are the "hairs" rigid or flexible? Is the lighter colored part a rock that it is carrying? Looks urchin-esque, but they're usually pretty symmetrical. Can you get a short video?
Ooh, cool! Urchin hitchhiker! They like to camouflage themselves with various objects, so it's no surprise that it placed the mushroom, some rocks, or anything else it can find on top of it.
Urchins has hard spines and soft tentacles that come out to look for things to grab for camo and in order to move. If you try and rip it off the rock you will probably rip its tentacles out that are attached. I did this once when it was on my glass and you could see the tentacles left behind (fyi it didn't seem to effects its health). If you can get a better close up we might be able to tell you whether it is "reef safe" or not. Otherwise those with harlequin shrimps might take it off your hands.
