I went there today after a very long time. Haven't been to the old location in months and today was my first time over to the new location. I have to say, they have stepped up from being at the old place. The tanks were much cleaner, the area in general is much cleaner. No water on the floor either which I like because I usually had to lift up my pants so the bottom part didn't get wet when I was walking around at the old location. The systems don't seem to have anymore copper in them which I think is good, less stress on the fish. I didn't see any dead or diseased fish in any tanks like they had at the old location. I went there randomly today because I had nothing else to do. The rooms are divided which I thought was pretty unique, meaning, the saltwater fish were in one room, corals in another, freshwater in another, and inverts in another. They said they were still in the process of adding more tanks to each room.

To sum it all up, I think the new location is worth going too and they have definitely stepped up from being at the old location in wood dale. Took some pictures to show you guys. If you have been t here before and didn't have a good experience, I say give the new location another try.

I stopped into the new location yesterday and I wasn't impressed. It was clean but they have very little stock compared to the old store (coral). Hopefully the add a more in the coming months.

I was there last weekend as well and the place is really clean and bright but they have very little livestock. They no longer had the tiny hermits I would always buy and the coral section was sparse. I didn't even bother to walk into the freshwater room. The good thing though is that they have alot more employees....but I am not sure I will be back.
 
Went to the new Xzotic location for the first time today. Not sure if I'm willing to make the drive again. The fish selection was lackluster, and the overall health of the fish in their systems was not up to par. Maybe they will step their game up after they've settled into the new location. Atleast I hope so.
 
Went to xzotic aquatic world today and they received 3 shipments tons of cool fish, I have never seen som fish they have now at other stores. They have another shipment today of SPS and more fish. Friday there will be exotic freshwater fish. The owner said he didn't want to shock the systems so he said he hasn't been ordering a lot, but there were tons of fish acclimating when I went in yesterday at 1. They just set up a brand new coral tank also, it's made for a coral display tank and an employee said its a 180g. Next week they have a bunch of stuff on order like Achilles, Chevrons, etc. I had a good long talk with the owner about why the fish selection was scarce, he said he would rather take things slow but now that everything is going good it's time to order a lot, definitely don't rule this store out I guarantee they will make a big statement soon. If you want to see all the fish they got I think they post shipments on Facebook.

I'm not falling for their shenanigans again. Gas is too expensive. Thanks for the update though.
 
I havent been to the new place. But then again i cant remember last time i went to any of thwm. No time no money. Plus more of a winter hobby for me
