why yes they are, lol, and i like them very much thanks mark i remember when i got them you weren't sure what they were at the time.
 
in the second pic im very certain that they are happy PE. I have two big colonys of both magicians and happy PE. magicians have a solid red skirt and yours have a lighter skirt with the green mouth.
 
Happy People Eaters I believe is just a name Happy Corals uses for their Magicians. I've never seen anybody else call them HPE except them.
 
Ive seen "happy people eaters" in other places than Happy Corals. The HPE has the people eater neon green mouth, the regular magicians dont have the people eater mouth. I had both in my tank, lost my happy people eaters, but magicians survived. They are definitely 2 different polyps.

I do know there are different kind of Magicians and yes the TRUE magicians don't have a green mouth. If you do a little research you can trace most of the HPE to HC. Places such as Pro Corals and SC sell their "HPE" as Magicians and so do most of the other online vendors. There was one or two times I did see them being sold as HPE other than HC but haven't comed across that name in a while. I personally have three different kinds of Magicians and you can tell they are all magicians but they do have some differences.
 
tinman if you are talking about the first pic paly on the left they are armor of gods. and so on the paly's in the second they are not magicians is that what everyone has agreed on?
