Hope you've enjoyed my pics.

1st ones are deff not AOI, but I don't know what they are. 2nd aren't what I normally call LA Lakers, either...nice start though!

@jayjigga, Thanks for the help, I'll keep looking into what the first two are as well as other one I'm still researching.

Everyone else thanks!!!, I can't believe how addicting this hobby can become.

The picture marked "la lakers" are kryptonites that are a little faded. Here are a picture of mine for comparison. They look nice once they color up fully.

kratos1028, thanks for IDing my zoas. I really appreciate it. I'm about to crank up the lights in our aquarium so I'm hoping that the burst in light will help with the coloring.

That's the plan. I have AI SOL's and my plan is to crank up the lights by 15% intensity every two weeks. Any other advise you can share with me would be great.

Oh boy im gonna sound like puffer punk but vc helps with their colors or so ive heard. And i know a guy he runs mainly blue lights and the colors explode. I wont say his name but everybody knows him lol. Very nice tank good luck

@madman thanks, I actually found a post from puffer punk from back in 2010 talking about it and how much to dose. I would really love to have my zoas and all my other corals color up but I'm just not sure about the dosing since I've never done any dosing thus far. (Given I've only been doing this a little over a year now). I will add I do like the shade of blue I have my lights set to as well.

If I'm not mistaken, what you're really looking for are the PAR & PUR values that your lights put out when it comes to coral growth.

Nope just Par is not good enough for coral growth .. Par values mixed with proper wavelengths is what we are looking for ..

there are two peaks as in the pic below

both groups of chlorophyl is required by coral for color and growth...

whats ambigous to me is if we provide only one group does that mean the work done by second group is completely halted or do they go together ..
