Trying to get into the hobby for my husband

Hi everyone my names katie. Im anarchys wife as my name on here says. My husband is big into his tanks and this forum so i decided to try to start getting into the hobby and trying to enjoy it.

Welcome aboard...my fiance finally crossed over to my hobby, and now she has a thriving sea horse/gorgonian tank.

My wife recently started a tank and she is really enjoying it. Like you, she feels out of her element, but I see her gaining more confidence every week.

My advice is to get involved as much or little as you want. Originally, I was hopeful she would be totally enthralled, but obviously that was just unrealistic. After I took a step back and urged her make her own decisions & mistakes we both enjoyed it more.

Most importantly, have fun with it and remember it should be enjoyable, not stressful. (I constantly have to remind myself of this point)
 
Welcome to the hobby! It can be frustrating at times, but once you tackle issues that arise, it becomes very rewarding.

It's good that you have someone close by to help!

Take your time with it and most importantly, enjoy it!
 
You should set up your own tank so you can really see how rewarding the hobby can be. I may even give you some free coral
