I wish! I can show you pieces I've had for nearly a year that have done literally nothing. That JF champagne coolers is just a super fast grower. I can hook you up if you want. It's starting to shade my red robin. Lmk.

Welcome to the frustration of sps. Its always something. Good growth but bad color. No growth good color. Growing great then dormant. No polyp extension. Or any other combination of those things. Trust me sps is the best and worst part of this hobby.

I had 1 that started getting brown at the top and dieing so I cut it off seems to be doing a little better but no polyp extension

I'm just happy if my corals stay alive. If they're living, they're probably growing, at least a little bit. However, like I said above, I've got colonies that have exploded and frags that are still frags after a whole year. Just keep the parameters good and keep the corals alive. They will grow if they feel like it.

SPS is tough and I seriously don't sleep well at night if I see the smallest start of STN. On the other hand, I get a lot of satisfaction when everything is looking good.

Slow tissue necrosis. Basically a coral dies slowly. You see a white spot form where the coral loses tissue. It will eventually spreads throughout the coral. RTN is rapid tissue necrosis and it happens overnight.

There can be a number of causes for either, but I believe alk swings to be the most common.
