That's a really nice looking tank! Are the bigger ponies easier than the dwarfs?

Yep, bigger seahorses are easier than dwarfs because with dwarfs, they need newly hatched live shrimp as their diet. And larger seahorses can eat frozen foods.

SWeet pony tank, they are really awesome to keep. I kept a few of them for a while. It's awesome to watch them eat.

I've been thinking of going a different direction with my little office nano tank. Could the ponies last a three day weekend without being fed? That's really my only concern. I would love to get one. It would be the only thing in the tank besides a fire shrimp and a couple of hermits.

they need to be feed on a daily basis we have to feed twice daily because they really dont have a stomach i have ben told dont know how true that is

That setup is awesome! I love seahorse tanks they are very entertaining!

You are correct with the needing to feed everyday and multiple times a day. I kept seahorse several years ago and fed mine 3-4 times a day. Seahorse have stomachs, but their digestive tract is very short. This effectively reduced the amount of time they have to absorb nutrients prior to passing the food. So, they need to feed repeatedly throughout the day in order to ensure they are retaining enough nutrients.
