Why the white tips again!!!

I just took them off literally 30 min ago. The corals still looked like shit. Haven't seen any more tissue lose since the other day. I tested phos and nitrates and both came out to 0.

Yea i meant from last time u posted not since pellets removed that takes while to show any difference hopefully it helps . Can also be shock of new lights but i rarely see that when switching to t5 more on switches to led

I agree with others that the coral are most likely being starved. Feel like a big misconception in this hobby is the water must be devoid of all nutrients.

Nothing is looking any better. And now I got cyano starting to show on the sand bed. Agh. The one piece is a goner.

This. I ran pellets a while ago and ended up with the same problem. I starved out my coral and they all died like that, But there's still some flesh left on that guy so he may turn around. I'd just leave him be until its 100% gone

Id leave it and let tank settle without pellets before adding more nothing good happens fast in this hobby

That's the plan im just going to let it ride out and prob going to turn nasty and ugly but whatever. I cut the dead parts off yesterday and today it's a complete white piece of chit. Ha. This part of reefing blowsssss ass hole. So far nothing else has died but just don't look good. Oh well.

It sucks but happens u just have to figure out how your tank wants to run natural is always most consistant way will live rock for filtration and a fuge for excess nutrient export . I know haveing bunch of live rock isnt ideal look what i did when i chnged my scape i ended up putting the extra rock in sump and fuge . Every tank runs dif so its hard to tell u extactly what to do unfurtunitly

Corals are going to die, it's just part of this. Your tank will be going through a transition right now as the bacteria population is all over the place. I go with the natural approach and just use macro algae in a fuge. If you ever want to try that route, hit me up, I throw so much macro away it's almost a shame.

Joe thank you again. and again and again. Now you either have to break more computers or find a way to pay you back for all the stuff you have helped me with. I have to just try and ignore the tank and let it be. Thats the hard part. Trouble Maker I already have a butt load of chaeto in the tank.. Thank you so much for the offer though.

I was actually referring to real Macro Algaes, I had about a dozen different ones in my Fuge, I honestly dont know how many different kinds are left. I use Chaeto in my sump because its very responsive and will take over if the Macro Tank cant keep up. My Fuge drains into my Chaeto compartment so its a safety net if any nutrients make it by. I was just throwing that out as an option.
