Glad I got to come out! Picked up some great Acans and colored sticks! I wanted that BUCKET so bad and almost had it LOCKED in! There was an unfair advantage to bringing your other half! That Acan I stole from Walt sure looks great in my tank though! It'll look even better once my LED's arrive!

As always the event was perfect. Thank you Walt and Nate for organizing everything.

Seeing familiar faces(except cubbies with that beard) is always fun. It was nice meeting everyone else. I'm already looking forward to the spring swap. :)

Folks-

The party was a smashing success and I want to thank everyone who showed up, contributed with food, supplies and whatever we needed or just showing up. We had a ton of giveaways and I'm hoping that everyone who showed up from Chicago Reefs walked away a winner with a prize.

I especially want to thank my favorite LFS, Reefwise, for being generous enough to open up their shop and work an even longer day then usual to host our event. The pizza was amazing and there were more alcoholics then we anticipated but Reefwise never skipped a beat and had us covered.

Herbie was an awesome MC with his booming voice and I thank him for working so hard for making the event not only fun, but running smoothly while I ran my mouth shaking hands and giving hugs.

Jorge from Windy City Reefs was awesome and I was especially happy to see him even though he had an emergency simultaneously taking place. People were really excited when they heard that Windy City Reef was donating some of their stellar beauties and rightfully so. Thanks for your generosity, time and awesome attitude.

Thanks again to everyone for coming out. We have an awesome community of local reefers who's biggest concern is seeing this group succeed. We've got folks like Mike (mlreef), Jay (jayjigga), Laura (noob1), Mike (supercharged), Scotty (scotty), Eddie (dje), Jeff (jeppun), Mai (maida), Kevin (bigKev), Dave (saledo), Joe (joe5647386), Jose (dohc), Joe (madjoe) and way too many others to list who will drive all over the tri-state area to help a fellow reefer receive coral, drop off a piece of emergency equipment or lend a hand (or carry up buckets of Salt to my apartment because I'm fragile like a flower) and I am thankful to have met many of you. I love reefing...but I think I love our community more.

Happy Holidays to everyone and your families!!!! And please support our awesome local sponsors!!! They need us just as much as we need them.

That was fun!!! Thanks to Reefwise for hosting the event and Herb & Walt who also did a great job getting this going.. Was also nice for all the members who came and brought stuff. I had the famous cake and was out of this world!!! That was good!!!

Was nice to meet new members who share this wonderful sick hobby...lol!!!
 
Honestly walt u r the most generous person and helpful that ive meet u set the example for all of us and we r all in u debt one way or another. Thank u walt for all u do

Thanks Reefwise for everything , Walt and Herbie thanks for all the time and effort that went into this party . Good seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Had a blast , can't wait for the next one!
