Got the live rock from a spot in Orland park , Chicago reptile house

You have a bristle worm. They eat more detritus than just about anything else, but some people find them ugly and repulsive. They won't hurt anything. I used to have tons of them that would mostly come out at night but a Coral Banded Shrimp gobbled them all up.

BTW, welcome to CR, nice tank and your lucky your wife is getting into it too :) It is a great hobby to share and now you don't have the spend the next several years telling her everything costs $10, like ,many of us, :lol:

Lol yea she knows its not cheap ! And Ty for the info on the worm if it doesn't harm anything il keep it
