2x4 or 4x4 for 110 stand?

So yeah, have this all worked out. My dad's a non-pro carpenter (finished our basement by himself and whatnot) and is going to help me build this next week. Using wood dowels and a couple extra 2x4s not shown on here for sway support but without diminishing under tank space. Really looking forward to this build. Just doing the frame for now, since it's not actually getting set up till we move, but I need to get the pumbing for the closed loop set up before the winter so there's one less step to do.

Will do. I need a saw like they had at Menards. Worked as a miter saw and a table saw.... Dreams of dreams...

I'm hoping to coerce dad to building it today, but we'll see.

Radial arm saw. Nice piece of equipment.

I will when we actually put it together, I promise! lol

I figure I should seal it with something, what should I use? I don't wanna break the bank just to splash proof my stand...

I used drylock on my stand where you dont see it and for the outside used stain with polyurethane and did two coats but that was to get the color i wanted so far so good

Oh, he was just there for help. He literally handed us every single screw we needed, as well a supervised the drilling. He DID NOT want us to use a circular saw when we did though. He was adamant about that.... :)

Looking good man! Must have been raining in your garage from the looks of you two!

No, just like 80% humidity. My Dad and I, and even Jude, all sweat just standing still when its humid out. Add work, and its a mess...
