40 breeder clam paradise.

The lights are so much brighter than they where in my smaller tank. My blueberry fields acro has bleached very badly. Hopefully I can get it to color back up.

Went to petco to buy dog food and saw this little girl there.

She measures 2 1/8". She has a horrible case of ich and what looked like some flat worms on her skin. So far I've gotten rid of the worms and am now focusing on killing off the ich. I didn't want to get a powder blue because of how aggressive and sensitive they can be but I didn't want to it die at petco.

Right now I'm not 100% sure. I plan on having my custom 220 built and ready by next December. So if I don't feel comfortable placing her in the 40b till then I'll have to give her away. If not I am going to keep her. I also have a 3" (exactly) blue throat trigger and 1" pygmy angel in qt right now. I want to have all my fish ready and already healthy for when the big boy tank is ready.

It's so hard to snap a good clear pic of the angel named Angel. This was the best one I could get. He's handling the copper treatment very well. Still eating like a piggy and flying all over the tank.

This is my yet to be named blue throat

I never realized how much a little trigger like this can eat. Guy goes through almost half a cube of food by himself. Thankfully the algae scrubber on the QT is keeping the nitrates and PO4 at 0. He has yet to show any signs of ich or other ailments but just to be safe he got the same prazipro treatment as the other guys and is also in a copper bath.

After the copper treatment is done I plan to do a round of fungal followed by a round of bacterial infection treatment just in case Blue (the powder blue) go scratched to hard and caused an open cut. My QT process usually goes

Copper/prazipro depending if ich is clearly present or not- - - > furan 2 - - - > primafix---> final round of prazipro. I try to leave the fish in qt for at least 6 weeks. 3 weeks of copper 1.5-2 weeks of prazipro and 1 week of bacterial/fungal treatment.

So funny thing. I got rid of the clams last night so this title isn't exactly fitting anymore. I really wanted some more sps coral for the tank. I saw topwater water was looking for some clams so I traded him my two larger maximas and the small derasa for some killer pieces. I'll post an updated FTS later on tonight. I came home with about 10 corals. Mostly acros and a few birds nests.

My beautiful little blue tang isn't doing so good looks wise. She eats a lot and acts completely normal. She just has a ton of blemishes on her skin. Incase it's a bacterial infection I'm going to be running some furan-2 to try and clear it up.

Noticed the tang was getting skinner even though she eats like a pig. I assume with is some type of intestinal parasite and have begun dosing prazipro. I now soak her nori in tank water with an extra drop of prazipro.

ON a good note my algae scrubber if working like a charm. Feeding over a cube of food a day for 3 fish under 1.5" and nitrates/phosphate are at .25 and. 02ppm.

Don't know why more people don't run algae scrubbers. Hard as I try I can't register any nitrates or po4.

I've begun dosing red seas coral colors, pohls coral vitalizer, kz amino acids. Colors are begging to return to their full brightness.

Hair algae is really starting to cover the scrubber.

Judging by how much the powder blue has improved from prazipro I'm going to assume the spots are a side effect from being malnourished. She looks almost 100% normal and has thickened up.
