500G ReefSavvy Rimless Build

30" rimless? and how many gallons is their max rimless? I wouldnt want anything over 200 but thats just my opinion.

When I was talking to him he said it depended on length. He's done 400-500 gal rimless cubes... But that's diff then an 8ft tank.. And again. It would be two 1/2" pieces of glass per side to make 1" glass. That plus bracing on the inside. Basically like adding a eurobrace on the inside of the tank. Rather then on top. It gives extra support.

I am going to make it happen one way or the other. I guarantee there will be be advanced ways of holding glass together soon. Maybe it won't even be glass that we will be using soon. Just look as some of things www.inventables.com is developing.

i was trying to clean up last night and i told my wife, " I should have just bought one real big tank like 300-500 gallons instead of a bunch of "small" tanks." She says, "Yeah me too."!!!!!! i was like hmmmm dont tempt me... i would make this a reality...

I talker to Felix b-4 i custom my with miracles co , for the rimless can not go with 30'' high even with 3/4 thick glass ( my 30"wide & 30" high 3/4 starphire glass. ) for $ almost even

Again... I talked to Felix last night. He CAN do 30" high. I already explained how it needed to be done. With 3/4" it could not.. But with two 1/2" sandwiched it could. ... Again Reef Savvy COULD do 30" high

I have 3 reef savvy tanks and contemplating one large tank... He said he could get it done. No problem

I say lets do it! Jorge I think that you would be happier with one larger tank and a couple smaller ones!

Oh I know... I want a 500 gallon tank... But with new baby here in 1-2 weeks... This is only a dream... For now. I want to move to bigger house in 2-3 years... My wife says I'm nuts bc our house is brand new and big for city (2900 sq ft) but I want a bigger house with a fish room. That's my goal.

Looks like me and you have the same dream. And it looks like I started a "real" 500G rimless build soon! lol Would be the most viewed thread in all of reef forums.
