Aiptasia questions

I had success with 1 Peppermint Shrimp to every 10 gallons for a sparse Aptasia infestation. Hope that helps.

Skimmo, great response!

Brandon, we are currently sold out of peppermints but we have more coming in this week. They are definitely the easiest way to completely rid aiptasia.

A couple weeks ago I had a few aiptasia pop up in my tank. I added one peppermint and they were gone in less than 24hrs. I haven't noticed another since. ~Eric

I guess you must feed something they really like to eat more.
I have one in a 250 and not one Aptasia in fact I can take a rock from sump full of them and it will be clean as soon as he finds it. It's nice to have a few but I also think they kill each other or something being everytime I got a few I would end up with 1 or 2 for the long term. Seems less live far longer . My guy is pretty old and huge .

My Solon Fairy Wrasse would ignore them. I started seeing less and less over 6 months, until I found a pair of antennae sticking out of my Red Head Jawfish's mouth. That's why I'd recommend 1 per 10 gallons, because some reef fish like a peppermint snack.
