Angelfish- reef safe or not project

Thanks Joe. Maybe we can make it sticky, lots of people always asking questions about Angels and coral in reef tanks.
 
Yes, that's why this one is great. Those real experiences in reef tanks by different people. As you can see almost none are 100% safe, but this gives you at least an idea percentage wise what to expect.
 
it's also so hit or miss.

I got a flameback from a reefer here who said it was reef safe (and it was, I saw it in his tank previously), once it was in mine, it continuously harrassed alot of my SPS, he went buh bye.

I also have a regal in my tank now for several months, has not touched, clams, LPS, SPS or even zoas. Although one rule of thumb is that pygmies will typically nip SPS and you can get away with large angels in SPS only systems. Of course this is not black or white.
