AppleCare or no AppleCare and good case?

Haha! Good one. No phone envy. My wife and just couldn't justify spending money for the same phone in a different dress. The only difference with my 3GS and the 4S is that I don't have Siri. Apple just put new bells and whistles on an old platform and called it NEW and IMPROVED. The reason we all have purchased Apple product is because they were cool and so far ahead of everything out there in looks and style and function. The reality is that Apple has cooled a bit in fresh ideas and innovation. This is why I am glad I waited for the iPhone 5.

It's just an opinion buddy. I am a die hard Apple user. Our house and cars and offices are geared toward using them everyday. I expect a lot from Apple and for the last 2 to 3 years they have dropped the ball in making a better product for us.
 
I am a pc android guy and love that I can always find a app to get movies and music for free. I gave apple a shot with a ipad and I do like it but is there any way to get music for free from them. I will say I did just get Samsungs newest tablet free when I bought my new smart tv and I do like it a lot.
 
No they pretty much have it on lock down with the free stuff. I just use pandora for music now and net flicks for movies and tv.
 
Makes it sound like android is pro-piracy if its that easy to just get an app and steal music and video. You can always still just do this from your computer and transfer the music and videos to your iPhone/iPad. There is nothing in place to prevent you from loading pirated data onto the devices, apple just makes it difficult to do directly from the devices.
 
I am on my FOURTH Iphone 4s because of warranty issues, two rattling speakers problems and one reboot issue. I don't have insurance and when the 1 year manufactures warranty runs out I am not looking forward to repairs/replacement cost. If I get through my two year contact with Verizon, I probably might purchase another Apple product, otherwise I'll steer clear of Apple.

Sounds like you have bad luck of the draw. You alone have had more 4s replacements than the dozen or so employees at my company who have them for the past year. I LOVE my 4 (non-s) but admittedly am starting to see my battery getting weak from over 2 years of heavy usage. While i can sympathize with your warranty issues, i don't believe its a typical example of the 4s quality I've seen since they were launched last year. I'm waiting impatiently on an expired contract to place my pre-order upgrade to replace the one i have now with the next model as soon as it's announced.
