Aquacon?

Has anyone used Aquacon.com? I like their selection, they have a lot of things I have not seen on other sites, but has anyone ever used them? I am looking to get more invertebrates and liveaquaria is to expensive if I am just getting inverts. I like Thatpetplace selectoin, but they have beyond horrible customer service IMO

Dont use em. Search aquacon here and any other forum and you'll read plenty of bad reviews about them. I made the mistake of ordering from them when I was new and got a dead coral, they just ignored my emails and calls. Also got dead fish on another order from em (didnt learn my lesson the first time), they told me they will give me a replacement fish on my next order. Obviously I didnt order again.
I also heard some of those nice pics in their website were stolen pics from other people. Read that in R2R, I think

It's all in a name AquaCON, searches of them on Nano-reef, Reef2Reef and Reef Central will hopefully steer you away from them.

Check with Aquapros, they stated in one of the threads they have Clean up crews/ Inverts, Reefwise is a good place and any of the other site supporters might be able to help you out. It's easy as an E-mail or phone call and they might just give you a discount if you mention Chicago Reefs.

Thanks for the advice, definably won't use them! After the horrible experience with ThatPetplace, im much more cautious about which sits I purchase from

I'm not really looking for a pick up crew, there were just some cool unique items that aquacon had that I haven't seen many other places

They definitely have a nice website and really nice pics, which really cons people. Too bad Ive read a few threads complaining that aquaCON is using other peoples nice pictures on their website.

I'm sure if you ask one of our local sponsors they could get whatever unique item that aquacon has, you just need to ask.

reefs to go.... they do ship it to you but they have a neat trick... even if you pay for next day shipping they just seem to ship whenever they feel like it. In my case they fit over 30 fish into just one small box... The trick: like i ordered on a monday morning, paid for next day, got my stuff 9 days later...it did get here next day, they just skipped the part where they dont ship your stuff right after you order it. Wouldnt be an issue if i worked in the same location every day, but they dont seem to care. Or say you live in a cold climate and your waiting for a nice patch of weather b4 sending corals thru the mail.... Kinda feel jabbed paying for shipping and handling when the shipping is done via fed ex...the slow handling charges are a bit insane. But i would reorder stuff like crabs, snails, etc as they seem to offer out some items at a loss... I would never order anything like an expensive angel or something that is not known to be fairly hardy.

I see that you are reporting an issue with your order. If you will send me a PM with your information I will be more than happy to research for you. We do have a 1 to 4 business day processing period on all orders. But if you need something sooner we'll be happy to try and accommodate a rush request if you let us know.

if you feel that your order's turnaround time was longer I'll be happy to research It for you :-)!

Reefs2Go has some good deals going on right now. The inverts may be small but will grow over time. They also have free shipping on some of the items.

You're absolutely right!!! We always have great deals and different sales as well as free shipping on certain items. All of our inverts and fish go 1/2" of advertisement either way, for example; if we advertise a 2" invert you could be shipped one that is either 1 1/2" - 2 1/2". They are small but given the proper love, nutrition and care they will thrive and grow beautifully :)

Thank you for the shout out, tribalturtle :)
