ATO recommendations

I have a few products from autotopoff.com but I'm curious about anything newer on the market. I also have a simple float switch ATO in one tank and it works fine so I might just go that route again. I've always used the smart ATO on every tank. No issues for me.

I have the icecap ATO on one of my tanks and it has worked very well. You just have to wipe the optical sensors down every so often but very easy to use and maintain

The Tunze is my preferred ato. Optical and float sensors followed by a run timer.

If you're going to have a container with water near by for the top off. Any pump will work cheap or expensive. Long term reliability? Maybe not a good idea to go the cheaper route But.
If you're going to move water from a distance like lower floor or fish room. I suggest a peristaltic pump. Like avast with a float. They're are pricier but work great and move from distance.
