I love that the point here is that if you do give water and food to your enemy it will hurt them more than leaving them hungry. Paul was pretty hard core. (I can say that because I'm married to a Greek, LOL)
 
I agree, that bickering is frowned upon by the Man (not corporate America), but that aside, most of us are here for the hobby we love. Some are clearly here to make $ off others by playing on their ignorance/innocence. Some here are actually trying to learn from other peoples' experience, and others are here to share their experiences. Yet, there are those that see this as business opportunity, to which of say, do so, but pay up as a sponsor and conduct yourself as a business.

Majority of the "bickering" IMO is a defensive mechanism of the community, vigilante or not, triggered to protect its members. The rest of the bickering is just personalities colliding.

I dont understand the bible. We got the wrath of God in the old testament with all the religious/Jihad type wars and destroying your enemies crap. Then you have the mercy / lovydovy God in the new testament and u have to turn the other cheek. Its like 2 different gods.
I dont sacrifice em, but I like eating them :)
 
God pretty much stays the same throughout, but Jesus puts himself between us and God. It's sort of like Vader and Skywalker. :laser:

(and like zues and hercules and zoaster's dad and zoaster and a bunch of other older stories)
 
I'M very guilty of not loving my brothers.... some times the stress of life overwhelms us,,, work/lack there of... this (laughing) relaxing hobby... ect.... I have been very short with some ppl here and offended some... to everyone I offended I apologize .. you guys are my brothers and friends ....I need to be more understanding ..to my fellow reefers

LOL, I don't need to believe in Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker to understand the cultural significance of the alegory. Same holds true for the bible with me. I am a student of the common threads in all mythical works. Somewhere in the human failure is a truth. "No Bickering" is a pretty good place to start in my book.

Don't know what bible your reading but it's the same God then and the Same God Now... Reading the Bible and understanding the actually theology goes deep... This world we live in is in a Spiriutal War not everyone in the world is going to understand it until you dig deep into the Scripture and read the word on what God has written for man to read. It's up to you to take it or leave it.. Free Will- Which means you make the desicion on what the Bible tells you- some choose to turn the other cheek and some choose to worship the lord Jesus christ and most choose not to believe. I know for a fact in my life the Bible Speaks truth about a ton of things that go on in this world today and it has made a huge differnce in my life... But this is Just My .02

+1 jigga, i get very frustrated with the people on here( you know who you are!) That try and take advantage of people. If you wanna make a living off this site, then pay up and stop being chumps.

Dont wanna get into a bible war with anybody. Ive probably read through the bible more than alot of you. I went to Christian school for a long time. I've also come to realize that there are alot of hipocrisy going on with religious folks. Why do u think Jesus came and had to revolutionize how people practiced back in the day.
People have always changed stories from the past and the Bible is written by man.
I dont care how much bible u know, trust me, I know just as much. I care how spiritual a person is. A kind man will go to heaven before any hypocrite preacher.
Anyways, Will, I've met you once and really liked you. you also make good products. I don't know why people would talk smack about you.
 
My view on selling is that if you are selling frags here and there to support the hobby, such as needing salt, test kits, etc. thats great. After all, what do we do with our corals that overgrow our allotted space. Now on the other hand, if you are strictly doing this to put money in the bank above and beyond the costs of operating your tank, that is the definition of being a sponsor.

I try to not comment on religion and politics because debating belief is a battle that will end badly.
