Filling up my tank before putting a skin on my stand. No way to adjust the supports to like up with my woodwork.

Using my sump as-is (bought used) and not really thinking about how bad it is. I've been considering redoing it, but it's going to be a nightmare.

Theres no mistakes just learning exercises some just cost more then others lol

Do not reuse sand!!! It took me 6months to get the nitrates in control!

I was doing 50% water changes weekly for months....and still had "blood red" after 4months

If I could +100 this! Using someone else's sand put me in a bad condition I'm currently dealing with (even though sand was washed...)

Lol try first 9yrs for me but didnt test much so eh. Actually haveing issues with my hanna right now to though so nothing is fool proof

Like someone mentioned, used sand and rock I believe to be a serious mistake of my past. Runner up would be buying animals from mail order without QT.
